When I moved to study digital marketing after my law career, I thought I had it all figured out. Spoiler alert: I did not.
The cold weather wasn’t for my hair. It started breaking, getting dry and frizzy. Getting it done every week into cornrows would’ve cost nearly a pod that’s about 50k naira weekly. With rent and bills to pay, that math just wasn’t mathing.
So I did what any broke but “I can’t be caught unfresh” girl would do: I made my own braid wig and wore it for an entire year.
